An AI Employee that drafts, and waits for your tap
The AI Employee is the part of Rumore that does the writing. It answers customers from your Location Profile, drafts review replies and social posts, and speaks whatever language it was written to in. Each capability has its own dial: some it handles alone, and the ones that carry consequences it drafts and leaves for you.
It is worth being precise about what this is, because the word has been used for everything. It is not a chatbot bolted onto a website, and it is not a general model given your login. It works from one source, your Location Profile, which holds your hours, services, prices, policies and the answers to the questions you get asked constantly. When the Profile covers a question, it answers. When it does not, it stops and hands the conversation to you. That second behaviour is what makes the first one worth trusting.
The dial is the design decision worth understanding. Every capability sits at either Autopilot or Approve-first, and you own where each one sits. Out of the box the settings are conservative: Review Requests go out on their own, grounded inbox replies go out on their own, review replies and social posts are drafted and wait. That holds even for the thank-you to a five star, until you turn it on yourself.
One line never moves. Anything that changes something in the world, taking a booking, cancelling one, quoting a firm price, making a commitment on your behalf, is drafted for a single tap and never executed on its own. That is not a setting with a hard-to-find toggle. It is the boundary the whole thing is built around, because getting that wrong does not produce an awkward sentence, it produces a customer who was told the wrong thing by your business.
What it costs you is attention, and less of it than the work did. A morning of approvals is a list of drafts you read and tap, which is a smaller job than a list of blank boxes you have to fill. If it ever stops being smaller, the dials are set wrong for your business and they are yours to move.
How it works
Your Location Profile is seeded
Pulled from your Google Business Profile when you connect it, then corrected by you. This is the record everything else reads from, so ten minutes spent here is the highest-value ten minutes in the product.
It answers only from what is in there
A question about Sunday hours is answered from your hours. A question about something you have not written down is not answered from a guess, it is passed to you with the conversation attached.
You set the dial per capability
Not one master switch. Review replies, inbox replies and social posts each have their own setting, per location and per channel, so you can let it answer opening-hours questions at midnight without letting it post to Instagram.
Anything with consequences comes to you
Bookings, cancellations, prices and commitments are drafted and held, always, whatever the dials say. Replies to one and two star reviews sit in the same place, and moving those is a decision we make you make deliberately.
Common questions
Will it make something up?
It is built not to, and the mechanism is refusal rather than caution. Answers come from your Location Profile, and a question the Profile does not cover gets a short admission that it cannot answer, and the conversation is flagged for you. What it never gets is a plausible sentence. That is why the Profile is worth filling in properly: it is the difference between an answer and an apology.
Can it take a booking on its own?
No. Booking, rescheduling, cancelling, quoting a firm price and committing you to anything are always drafted for one tap. There is no autonomy setting that turns this off, because a wrong booking is not a wrong sentence, it is somebody's afternoon.
Can I turn it off?
Yes, per location and per channel, and per capability within that. Turning it off entirely leaves you with the inbox, the review feed and the drafts you have already approved. Nothing about the rest of Rumore depends on the AI being on.
Does it sound like a machine?
It writes from your Location Profile in your business's voice rather than in a house style, which is most of the difference. The rest is that you read it before it goes. A reply you would not have sent is a draft you edit, and editing a draft is faster than facing an empty box.
